ここ数日、全く生産性のない日を過ごしている。生産性のある日とは、どんな日を指すのだろうかと少しばかりは疑問に思うが、そんなことを疑問に思ったとしてもそれでもここ数日は生産性のかけらもない日を過ごしているといえるほどに生産性のない日々だ。生産性がない日々は部屋も荒れていくので、朝から部屋の掃除と整理。聖子ちゃんがシナモンロールを作ってくれた。
Stephen Shore「Modern Instances: The Craft of Photography」をペラっとページを開いて、土曜日の暖かな日差しを浴びながら読み直す。気付けば15時になっていて、昼ごはんを食べるのも忘れていた。
人の言葉を読んでいると、やる気が出てきた。あれほど偉大なStephen Shoreでも、日々の中で写真を撮ることについてずっと考えているのだ。

夕方、ポストを覗くと、POST NLから理解できない関税の請求の手紙が届いていた。とにかく支払いを済ませないと受け取りできないとのことだったので、支払いを済ませる。おそらく母に買ってもらったフック10個なのだが、総額1,000円くらいのものに18ユーロもの関税を支払う必要があるのは理解できない。文句ばかり言っていても、ここでの生活はしないといけないし、これからも続くので、文句なんてもういう時間さえもくだらないと思っている。
寝る前にここで誰も生活していないかのような風景にするのが好きなのだが、家の整理をして寝る。家具やコップや全てのものもきちんと自分の居場所で寝させてあげないと翌日に疲れを溜めていくことになるのだから。
